Greetings. Here's some of my favorite recent work.

Take a peek (Click any image to see more details). Maybe there's something here
that suggests I'd be a good fit for a project with your marketing team. Or maybe I can even become your team. Outsourcing is a fine thing when you can tap one guy
with an arsenal of agency skills.

MARKETING PLANS As Account Supervisor for dozens of clients at my own shop, I'm a big believer that a Brand Roadmap can be an excellent marketing tool.

This year I wrote two Marketing/Communication Plans for local companies, both included a Marketing Strategy and a Quarterly Budget with recommended initiatives and associated costs. Hard to find without paying big agency fees, right? My clients find this is a smart approach to take their brand to the next level.

The Buttery, an upscale Santa Cruz Bakery, asked me to implement my marketing recommendations. So I wrote radio scripts and purchased local spots, designed and wrote newspaper ads and just finished a pretty 8-pg Wedding Cake brochure for a Bridal Fair.

BRANDING This past year I launched a new name and corporate image for my friends at Scott's Botanicals.

Their products had been called Alpha Sterol. Trouble was, that name suggests substances that can cause cancer, so sales were slow. I helped rename the company, secured the .com URL, and had a new logo designed.

I produced new labels, then developed a library of visual assets to repurpose across web and print.

I re-designed two websites to reflect the Alphacura name, wrote content for both sites and developed a business system and a new brochure to match.

A fun package design I conceived was an Island-specific product for Hawaii, where Pau Kiki means Stop the Sting!

As their Marketing Director I apply the same marketing techniques I've learned working in Silicon Valley with some of the world's fastest-growing companies.

CATALOG DESIGN My client Specialized Bicycles just can't stop growing. This year we designed and built a real heavyweight catalog. Over three pounds on our mailing scale!

Summers have been anything but relaxing, as non-stop production of (count em) 300 pages flowed through my studio. Not a problem with my seasoned crew and a great team on the client side.

A brand I've worked with since designing their logo and first ads 20+ years ago.

MORE CATALOG DESIGN When marketing ninja Rick Vosper asked me to design the Spring 07 SheBeest book, I said "Sure".

This upscale women's clothing company has great apparel and is well respected by riders. Here are some pages showing our photo direction and clean product spreads, if you can just look past the models. Behind-the-scenes production magic included shifting prototype apparel colors to match fabric swatches flown in as the book went to press. Lots of retouching to get every garment just right.

WEB DESIGN Wine. Ahh, a favorite category. But imagine Sustainable Winegrowing: better quality wines, and less impact on the environment

Jeff Dlott not only heads SureHarvest, which I named and branded, but Jeff also offered the California Sustainable Winegrowing Association a better way to interact with its members through a new website. I provided front-end design.

To celebrate the launch of the new database- driven site where growers can now access their performance online, and drive home the strides CSWA has made, a handsome 12-page progress report I designed and produced was presented to political leaders, policy makers and the press. Fortunately, I was invited to attend the gala luncheon. Salmon and Chardonnay, who could resist?
